Our Story

Discover how Quexvel is redefining sustainable home decor in New Zealand.

Founders of Quexvel

How We Started

Quexvel began in 2019 with a simple question: Why is it so difficult to find beautiful home decor that doesn't harm the planet?

Founded by lifelong friends Sarah and David, both passionate about sustainable living and supporting local craftsmanship, our company emerged from a shared vision of creating a platform where exceptional artisans could showcase their work to conscious consumers.

What started as a small online gallery featuring just five artisans has grown into a thriving community of over 30 craftspeople from across New Zealand, all dedicated to creating beautiful, sustainable pieces for the home.

Our Mission & Values

Our Approach to Sustainability

Sustainable materials and processes

Sustainability isn't just a buzzword for us—it's at the core of everything we do. From material sourcing to packaging and delivery, we consider the environmental impact at every step of our process.

Responsible Materials

We use only sustainable, renewable, or reclaimed materials in our products, from FSC-certified wood to organic cotton and natural dyes.

Minimal Waste Production

Our artisans embrace zero-waste design principles, finding creative uses for offcuts and byproducts that would otherwise be discarded.

Eco-Friendly Packaging

All our packaging is plastic-free and made from recycled or biodegradable materials that can be composted or easily recycled.

Carbon Offset Shipping

We offset the carbon emissions from all our deliveries by supporting local reforestation projects throughout New Zealand.
